In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
