An Agreement Requires Strong Assurances, Not Weak Ceasefire
Zelenskyy made clear that Ukraine desires an end to the war but not at "any cost". "What is it that Ukraine want? Peace? Yes. No matter the price? Certainly not," he declared. "Our goal is an end to the war but not the end of our country."
"Are we exhausted? Extremely. Does this mean we are prepared to give up? Anyone who thinks so is deeply wrong," he added.
He expressed doubt about Moscow's intentions, stating that even if troops withdrew from the Donbas Donbas, the war would not cease. "Pull out from the eastern regions, and everything will end. That is how a lie translates," he remarked.
